BELCHERTOWN FAIR & PARADE
September 25, 26, and 27 2026……
Welcome to the home of the Belchertown Fair and Parade. We are a community fair grounded in agriculture and civic pride. This years theme is “STARS, STRIPES and FAIR NIGHTS”. We are celebrating the Semiquicentennial, 250 year Birthday, of our great country.

The old saying is “It takes a village ….”and this Fair is a great example of that. Mother Nature put us to the Test. We have a great village!! Tent Day historically kicks off fair week on Sunday. Faced with the prospect of heavy rain we made a last-minute decision to try to put them up on Saturday. Little did we know this was not the only change of plans we had to make. The call went out and unbelievably people responded, and we had a work force to make quick work of the tents and the pulling area. With an eye to the impending weather vendors put their tents up early. As you all know we had perfect fair weather till the weekend. Then the winds blew and we were looking for the house to drop from the sky. Despite the wind, cancelled bands, collapsed tents and pouring rain we continued. By Sunday when the Lt Governor made a surprise visit, many vendors had left and activities were rearranged. But no surprise to us, hearty fair fans were roaming to get their rides in or have their favorite food. The 167th Fair will join the epic fair stories people tell. We hope in spite of the challenges, you had time to enjoy our greatest community event from the Fireworks to the last bit of Fried Dough. THE FAIR COMMITTEE
The backbone of the air is coordinated by volunteers and offers 3 days of free entertainment and activity for all ages.f

The Belchertown Fair has strong agricultural roots and has been at the center of its social and geographic history.
There are special theme awards in the Parade, vendor booths and Exhibit Hall. It is fun to see how people interpret the theme every year. This years theme was submitted by Kate Nadeau. What does it mean to you? Put your thinking cap on if you are a participant. If you are a visitor, we look forward to showing off the Belchertown Farming Community.
